In honor of World Thinking Day, a celebration where Girl Scouts “honor their sister Girl Guides and Girl Scouts by taking time to give thanks for their international friendships and remember that Girl Scouts of the USA is part of a global community” scouts in our town participate in International Day. Each troop selects a country to represent during the afternoon-long celebration which includes costumes, a performance and a food item.
The food is always the tricky part because we can’t have anything liquid. Nothing that requires electricity. And something the kids will want to try.
During our research we discovered a cookie recipe that was a) easy to make and b) totally yummy. It also doesn’t use eggs, so I had no concern when Sophie started eating the raw dough.
I’m actually thinking of making it for this year’s Christmas Cookie Swap (is it too early to think about that??).
