Well, it looks like we’ve finally gotten our collective acts together and managed to put out a show. One without static, that’s of acceptable audio quality, that’s funny to listen to AND has something of value in it. Somewhere!
As we prepare for another school year we reflect on the fact that one of us has a fifth grader and one of us should not be sharing her tech with her kids. And we get an update on Escape plans. Hot laps anyone?

I really enjoyed this episode, I appreciated your funny insights about the difficulties coming down the road with toys, tv time and… drilling math facts. My child is 3; forewarned is forearmed! Thanks so much.
I also really liked this episode and felt somewhat reassred that it wasn’t only me that has kids whose screen time needs to be limited. Has anyone tried screen free designated days of the week (as in every Wednesday is screen free day)? How has it gone?
Ladies – thank you both so much for helping me not to feel so alone in my frustration. I’m often feeling like I failed somehow when my kids act like greedy brats – it helps knowing I’m not the only one.
Loved this and also loved hearing about how the fun stuff you gals are planning for the escape. I’m one of those people who you talked about who is coming alone and has a hard time meeting people. But I can’t wait – to have 3 nights in a hotel room by myself is going to be amazing.
@Melissa, during the school year, we do not allow video games during the week. I just added a no TV rule during the school week, too.
