Here’s something about my new camera. I think it’s changing the way I see things. Or, more specifically, it’s revealing a world to me that I’ve been ignoring in our day-to-day hustle and bustle.
Now, with my camera always at the ready (thanks to my homemade camera bag), I find myself noticing more, and taking the opportunity to slow down and take a few photos. That’s what happened last week when, on my way into the garage with arms full of bags, I noticed a lone dragonfly next to our driveway.
For a few moments, all my cares, worries and thoughts were dropped as I stalked the dragonfly, getting as close as possible without disrupting it. (Without a zoom lens on the camera, I just had to get close).
Of all the photos I took, my favorite is the one where Claudia makes an appearance in the background.
