So you have decided on a good routine, a doable one, and one that you can feasibly stick to for the rest of the year. The next step is a HUGELY important one. You must decide on a goal. What does your finish line look like?
A size 6 dress? To go down a pants size? To do a photo shoot in a bikini (don’t laugh ladies – it’s OK to dream big!). It doesn’t matter what your goal is, just having one is what is important. If you can’t see the finish line—or dream of what it looks like—then you don’t know where you’re going or how to get there.
So go on. Give yourself a goal and a time line. And make it a realistic one. I’d like to suggest six months. Since it’s now the beginning of February, that will take us to July. And in six months I’ll check back in to see how you’ve all done. In the meantime, put your head down, stick to your exercise routine, and don’t look up again until the beginning of March.
What I mean by that is do not pay too much attention to the scale numbers on a daily basis, give yourself a month. We’ll do a check-in at the beginning of March to see if we’re on track for achieving that six month goal.
My next post…a Must Do exercize. Keep watch for it!
