This is it – our last giveaway of the week. And we’ve saved the best for last!
Guests at our recent Escape got the chance to try Lips: Number One Hits, the sing-a-long game available exclusively on the Xbox 360. On Saturday night Escapees sang their heart out to a wide range of hits from great artists like Rihanna, Coldplay, Jason Mraz, Colbie Caillat and many more. (I’d post pictures, but I’m pretty sure Erin would KILL me).
Now, Microsoft is giving one of our readers the chance to turn their living room into their personal performance space with a new XBox 360, Lips – Greatest Hits and a year of Xbox live!

To enter, tell us what your favorite song is to sing (shout, croak, hum, whistle, whatever) in the shower or your car. Don’t worry, you don’t have to sing to enter!

R-E-S-P-E-C-T by Aretha, I Will Survive, any of those girl-power songs in general…
I will survive.
“Another Mystery” by Dar Williams. I’m a huge folk music fan!!!
Does humming the Smurfs theme count? Otherwise, probably singing “you can’t always get what you want” at my daughter when she whines for something
.
Too many songs sung aloud to name just one but sang “Livin’ on a prayer” at the TOP of my lungs when I left my last day of law school!!!!!!! Great song to get you pumped up.
The Hannah montana song “party in the USA”
My husband loves it too but shhhh don’t tell
Typically I just sing along with whatever is play on the iPod. But Tuesday it died and I kept forgetting to charge it so since I am not a fan of the radio my son and I sang a lot of Queen, Stevie Nicks, and Pat Bennetar
Anything from the 80s I was just singing point of no return by expose. My daughter and I also enjoy poker face by lady gaga….my poker my my poker face
I’ve never been a shower singer but in the car ALONE I love to sing almost any late 80′s rock ballad. Which I am sensing is a theme around the manic mommies.
I sing happy music – mostly Jimmy Buffet. My most popular ‘brain song’ is “Come Monday”.
LOVE to sing – anytime – anywhere – love anything from the movie Grease, and love singing Hanah Montana with my girls – pick me, pick me . . . Pleeeeeeeeaaaaaaasssssssssse!
Anything by Journey or U2 I sing my heart out to with my husband and kids!
I love singing, “Country Boy Can Survive” by I think George Strait. It makes me feel so close to life as a kid on a farm, simple life. I have fun trying to sing the really low parts too.
“Gloria,” by Laura Branigan.
Right now, Beyonce Sweet Dreams… pretty much anything with a good beat!
My 2.5 year old and I like to sing “Hello Goodbye” together in the car. His favorite part is “You say yes, I say NO!”
Hey, I’m a “popping parazzo” so this would make a great xmas present for me. I love to belt out the top hits in my car. If I really like the song, I Google the lyrics and crack up at the way I managed to butcher the words…
My all-time favorite song to sing is “Roam” by the B-52′s.
Thanks for giving us all a chance to win some awesome prizes!
Pat Benetar’s a crowd pleaser. My baby sister’s signature song is “Are you strong enough to be my man?” I remember the first time I heard her sing it and thought, “she’s all grown up now.” Sniff.
Out tonight and Another Day from Rent and of course anything by Carlos Vives
Right now my favorite is “Single ladies” by Byonce. And I am already on a Christmas music kick. However, my all time karoke favorite is “Kiss me Deadly” by Lita Ford.
Soooo into anything by Ingrid Michaelson. . .but a fave for me and my kids is “Born to Hum”
Crazy by Gnarls Barkley……Love it!
Presently, it’s anything from the Glee Soundtrack! This show it my new obsession. My favorite at the moment is probably ‘Take a Bow’.
I Gotta Feeling from the Black Eyed Peas. Not only do I sing it…but I’m groovin’ too!
My current fav is Taylor Swift’s “You Belong to Me.” My 5yr old changed up the lyrics though, and I like to sing it her way: Instead of “she’s cheer captain and I’m on the bleachers,” it’s “she’s deer captain and I’m on the bleepsters.” As a manic mommy, I am most definately on the bleepsters most days.
Rockstar by Nickelback is one of my favorites to sing along too.
With everyone else here who is obsessed with glee. But sadly, I think I find myself belting out Backyardigans more often than anything else! I think I like it better than the kids ‘We’re marching to the top to the top to the top yes we’r marching to the top of dragon mountain….’
Bon jovi- we weren’t born to follow
I sing a lot of camp songs to my little girl, she loves to get involved with all the handmotions.
I sing whatever I’ve just recently heard that’s stuck in my head. Lately its been “I will survive!” because so much is going on around here I need to remind myself!
Oh, lately, it’s I’ve Got a Feeling by Black Eyed Peas. I love to belt it out, and just listening to it in the morning, is an instant positive outlook on the day.
Spiderwebs by No Doubt!
Sweet Home Alabama (I guess I’m a little old school)!
Journey usually gets me to belt it out or Hotel California.
My latest favorite song is “Say Hey I Love You” by Michael Franti and the Spearheads. It’s got a great beat, and is almost impossible not to dance to, too!
My toddler and I love singing and dancing to get rid of some of that extra energy. Recently, we have been dancing and I have been singing to Lady Gaga- Just Dance.
So many favorites from the 80′s! But with Christmas right around the corner, one of my favorite Christmas songs I know I’ll be singing is “Silent Night”.
Hard to choose just one, but the rock and roll song “Black Velvet,” originally sung by Alannah Myles, has been the song of the month that drives my best friend out of her mind. Funny how it comes to mind so often when we are together and I just have to bust out! “Black Velvet and that little boy smile; Black Velvet and that slow southern style…”
(Note to Em: It is so not country – look it up on Wikipedia. “Anyone in the world can write anything they want, so you know you are getting the best possible information.” Michael Scott – The Office)

Right now – I’d have to say the Blackeyed Peas Boom Boom Pow (yes, I’m a wee bit behind on the latest, hippest music)!
Recently, I have been singing along in the car to The Phineas and Ferb soundtrack.
Hmmmm-right now the top 40 because that is what my kids listen to non-stop. I think I have heard Paparazzi at least 5 times today! I am always amazed at how quickly they pick up lyrics–both the bad and good! Sing On Sistas!
Gotta be “Don’t Stop Believing” by Journey, despite all the hype…
Unfortunately, I am with Stephanie. We have tweens in our house so Miley’s, Party in the USA has been playing a lot. It is the type of song that once you here it is going to stay with you even as you try to fall asleep at night. It doesn’t help that my friends have jokingly Rick rolled me lately with an email that I think is serious and then up pops some male college students lip syncing this song. It never seems to end.
Livinig on a Prayer! A great song to belt out on the drive home!
Lately it’s been “Lean on Me”–my daughter has been learning it at school and so I am too!
Living de vida loca -Ricky Martin
suedehead by the smiths
Head First by the Baby’s,
Ain’t No Other Man by Christina Augilera
My Boo by Ghost Town DJ’s
Girls just wanna have fun, by Cindy Lauper….What girl can resist that???
