We’re back from Napa and reentry into our everyday lives is not nearly as much fun as getting away with 160 of our dearest fans (although it was so great to hear those squeals of “Mommy!” when we arrived home).
The Escape was a blast. The Embassy Suites was the perfect host hotel and spending an afternoon tasting wine under sunny skies was better than we had imagined.
Even if you weren’t with us in person, you were with us in spirit. Listen in this week as our guests share their “true mom confessions” with authors Trisha Ashworth and Amy Nobile, and to get a feel for the fun and sisterhood of the weekend.
And mark your calendars for this time next year.
Sponsor spotlight: General Motors, the former owners of the Saturn brand. To keep the test drives alive at Escape 09, GM brought several Chevy cars to Napa for test drives including two Camaros. When was the last time you just grabbed the keys and took a joy ride?
Check out our Flickr page and upload your own Escape photos. Read the twitter feed for the event.
A big thank you to all of our sponsors and speakers! And CONGRATULATIONS to Patti Hildreth, winner of the HP Envy Beat Laptop with Intel Core i7!

We are lucky thanks for putting on a show!
Hi, I’m loving the conversation on the podcast! I was lol for most of it. I wish I could’ve been there!… there’s always next year.
I’m still sticking with my confession that I psychologically dumped my husband on the curb to eat mulch. He “surprised” me while I was on the Escape by running a load of dishes for the FIRST TIME in EIGHT YEARS!!! I don’t even know if he knows where the dishwashing liquid is! Yes, he is STILL dumped on the side of the road, eating mulch, and getting colder by the day!
The session from the Escape that you shared with the listeners was AMAZING! Really gave me a lot to think about re: being a mom, relationship with my husband, etc. Thanks so much for sharing with the listeners!
I sat in my car in the driveway laughing ’till the end. My husband kept looking out the window to see if I was ok. I am going out this weekend to get those books.
