It’s been quite a while since I wrote one of these Fun Fabulous Friday posts. With other writing assignments (ones that actually impact the financial bottom line) I don’t have the freedom on Fridays I once had.

Good news is, tomorrow we head to Cape Cod for the week! I wish I had one of these blankets (picture from Hand Made Home). If you have not yet discovered SouleMama, it is so worth visiting her blog. But over-scheduled busy moms be warned: sometimes after visiting her blog I feel like I have to go make something with my own two hands.

My husband and I have a babysitter tonight and we’re headed out to dinner for his birthday. While I always look forward to our dinner dates, I’m hoping I might convince him to go see Julie & Julia. I caught Meryl Streep and Amy Adams on The View today (while I was uploading work files to the Internet and folding laundry, natch). This looks like such a fun movie, and not just because it combines two of my favorite passions: cooking and blogging. Check out the movie’s Web site for fun recipes and great desktop wallpaper, twitter skins and buddy icons. You can’t see it in this picture but the quote from Julia Child is, “You should have seen the way those men looked at me!” And don’t you just love her apron? You can find similar ones at Anthropologie.

Finally, I caught a glimpse of DwellStudio’s baby + kids collection for fall over on ohdeedoh.com and it’s so cute. Almost makes me wish I had a crib in my house. I said almost.
