Gossip Girl Returns September 1
My guilty pleasure will be back before I know it, but a racy new print campaign has some parents furious. This is a television program about a bunch of teens (albeit unbelievably beautiful ones) attending elite private schools in Manhattan. I don’t know how much of it is based upon reality, having not grown up in Manhattan or ever attended private schools myself, but I do have to say I would probably feel a bit uncomfortable if I had a teenage daughter who was seeing these ads everywhere. They certainly do get your attention!

Ripe Cards
Ever feel like there just isn’t a Hallmark card that says how you truly feel? A local mom started Ripe Cards, the cards that say it like it is. Some are unabashedly rude and crude (these are not for the soft-spoken) but some are simply hysterical. Check them out. Here’s one to congratulate a colleague on a new job…

Boden USA
Yesterday, the mini boden Autumn catalogue landed in my mailbox. I hadn’t heard of this clothing line before and immediately fell in love with the little girls’ skirts and dresses (even thought there is no girl in my house to wear one). So I thought I would share this with all of you.

And then I checked out the website and realized they have some fabulous looking women’s clothing. Like this print dress for fall. Of course, this being a London based company, the sizing may throw you.

And finally this Friday, something for your office. I am a fan of the M line by Staples. If you’re coming on the Escape, look for one of these journals in your Bon Voyage Box!
