Watching Sesame Street instead of the morning news.
Eating breakfast in the car. Drinking coffee from a sippy cup.
Running, running, running. Always 15 minutes behind.
Did I say 15? I mean 30.
Drop the kids off at “school”. Thank goodness for school.
Drive to work – late, late, late.
Another group to take care of – bosses, employees, clients
Phone company, alarm company, who do I call now?
5:15 – I’m running again. Back to school.
Run to grocery store. Home for dinner.
Soccer in the front yard. Ignore the dirty dishes.
Ready for bed? 3 year old dresses himself!
10 pm. Time to put baby to bed.
Clean the kitchen. Make lunches for tomorrow.
Husband? Down sick with a cold.
Time for bed…..
Can you relate? Share your story!
We want to hear it. We understand.
All hail the working mom!

Great idea for a Blog! Working Mommy here, with a regular need to vent!
Despite past years of torture and tears, we caved to the constant barrage of requests to go see the fireworks this year…but we were a tad smarter than years past, and brought my jammie-clad 3 and 6 yr olds to the mall parking lot for quick, crowdless viewing. No tears over the loud noises this year, so all in all, a relatively successful outing for everyone involved.
Back to work today on a Tuesday that feels way too much like a Monday. Why is it that we feel compelled to squeeze in all our social gatherings, spring cleanings, bill paying, etc into the rare “extra” day off we get every few months? When will we learn to take the day “off” like it was intended to be? sigh.
Congratulations on a successful 4th – did your children have the same “hang over” my 3 year old had? Out too late. Too many sweets. You get the idea. It was torture dragging him out of bed this morning!
Day off? I’m unfamiliar with the concept. ; )
