Great podcast ladies. I was extremely pleased to hear somebody mention that Sandberg’s book is NOT OUT YET! So much talk about something that most of the talkers don’t know anything about.

I did like her TED Talk quite a bit, but it resonated with the “pre-motherhood working woman” part of my career, not the “working mother” part. Completely different set of issues and isn’t clear that this book is for working moms. Oops, now I’m one of the people talking about something I know nothing about so will stop.

First of all – congrats on completing the half marathong. I’m slowly but surely working on getting back into running after an ankle injury – I literally crushed it — and it’s hard!

Secondly, I was intrigued by the discussion on Melissa MAyer. I personally was completely infuriated with her decision because of the seeming hypocrisy of it – she has the money to have help at home and to build a nursery at her office so she can have her child with her all the time but it’s not good enough for her employees? I totally just blogged about it…

Anyways, loved the episode with the dermatologist too and I went and got myself a script for Retin-A!

Like your comments about Melissa Mayer. Very fair… I can see why her executive decision is highly infuriating to many women; however, how many women are walking around in her shoes? She’s in a tough position and doing what she think is right. Her priorities are the survival of her family and her company, Yahoo. She has the opportunity to represent women in executive offices, but that’s entirely secondary at this time in her life. I’m not sure women are being fair to her. I wish we’d try to understand the decisions other women make instead of having a knee-jerk reaction of criticizing one another.

As always, enjoy your podcasts, when I make the time to listen. Tks for the entertainment & food for thought. :)

I busted out laughing in public when Erin said she had given up drinking wine for lent so she was having vodka. Love you ladies! Thank you for all you do!
