What Tommy said at the end killed me. It was so out of the blue I LITERALLY spit out some of my coffee from laughing!

Erin mentioned the woman who died after a deer went through her windshield. God bless her. I have a similar deer accident story that happened in Carroll County, Maryland.

Around mid-December 2005, my older sister hit a deer with her car while driving home. The deer flew through the front windshield and landed at the back window above her back seat – inside the car. She was driving a Grand Am and her ten year old daughter was in the passenger seat sleeping, head leaning towards her side window. After the hit, my sister was in shock (she did not remember the accident) and drove home a few more miles with a windshield so shattered (plus, she was holding it up with her hand) I don’t know how she could see anything – with the deer in the back of her car! Someone reported erratic driving and the police and ambulance found her car nearing her driveway and followed her car into the driveway. Her son and husband came outside and soon after the paramedics took my sister to the hospital. Thank God, they were both fine! The only injury was my sister was cut over one eyebrow. Whenever I see the scar it left, I am so thankful that she and my niece are here today. We went to see the car and the deceased deer in the morning, it was an unbelievable sight. I don’t know how they made it out alive. Another scary thing, my niece’s friend was going to go home with them that evening, but didn’t. If she had been with them, both young girls would have been in the back seat and the story would have probably ended much different…
