After last weekend’s travel adventure, my focus for this weekend was on spending time with the family.

One of my favorite moments, and images to capture, is when two members of our family hold hands. Sometimes it’s the kids, sometimes it’s one of our children holding tight to daddy – whomever it is, it sums up the moment for me perfectly. Focused, intimate, fleeting, safe.

For this week’s snapshot, I decided to change the focus – literally. Keeping the aperture low (f/2.8 ) I focused on a tree while keeping Steve and Sophie hazy in the background.

I had several other runners up for my snapshot – including this one of Steve, who remains one of my favorite subjects (and, contrary to my many complaints, is my rock, my best friend and the love of my life).

Daddy/Daughter holding hands gets me every time. I took several mental snapshots of that during our weekend.

I love your focus on family time and the photos you continue to share. I was focused on family and relaxing this weekend and it was great then, but tough to get back to another long week!

Anyway, your pics are inspiring… I just started blogging again :) & I plan to incorporate more personal photos. That will force me to take pictures every week, which will be great.
