Looking through the photos from this past week, I’m a little discouraged by the lack of anything worth sharing. But of course the reason is I’ve been running around like a chicken with her head cut off, taking care of my husband post-knee surgery, ferrying the kids here and there, and, need I even say it, working.

While Saturday was cold and rainy, my options for photo taking were limited, but I did take the camera out while making cookies (I’m addicted to a recipe from Joy of Cooking which I’ll share this week). As you can see from the two photos below, I enjoy experimenting with the ability to adjust focus and framing.

This  weekend I’ll be attending the interactive portion of SXSW, which in addition to providing me with an opportunity to spend some quality time sleeping solo in a hotel room, learning about the latest about new communication trends, and connecting with friends, will also give me a chance to take some pictures in a new (and warmer) locale.

I will be making cookies tonight to send to my son in college…..and I expect to be enjoying a beverage brewed in my Keurig whilst doing so. Btw – I really like your backsplash/wall……is it tile? lovely.

Baking on a cold, rainy day is perfect. Great pic, including the Maine mug. I hope you enjoy SXSW!
