My daughter bought herself with her birthday money the Lego Beauty Shop and spent 2 plus hours building it and playing with it. My son, even got involved driving his truck over to get a hair cut!! She did ask why the figures looked a lot like a small polly pocket, but she loved it.

    Erin,
I sympathize. That sounds like something that my husband would say – it being his day off, while I run around all day grocery shopping, doing laundry, etc. on my day off.
My husband also buys me flowers from the market. And he sees nothing wrong with it.

Well, I’ve been going through a bit of a rough time this past year since separating from my husband but recently I’ve been trying to focus on the good things about our split. I just listened to this episode and I must say, it is such a relief to not worry about what my husband is or is not doing. I have my responsibilities at my house and I can take care of them when he has the kids at his house. I don’t have to worry about his mess, his dirty laundry or his annoying habits (like using three paper towels to dry his hands, leaving used tissues around on kitchen counters and tables, or full milk cartons out on the counter over night) and he doesn’t have to deal with me “nagging” him about these habits. Thank you ladies for reminding me that there are some perks to being single! :-)
