There is nothing like out-of-town visitors to get us to do the thing we’re always talking about doing – go into Boston. This weekend we brought the kids and in-laws to visit the New England Aquarium and Quincy Market before bringing them to the airport.

Our visit was another great opportunity to give my camera a workout, but it’s a tough environment for taking pictures. Nothing stays still, and the light is always shifting – spotlights, dark corners, black lights, fluorescents, natural light.

It’s amazing how many bad pictures it takes to get one or two keepers – Not really sure how people figured out photography before digital! I took over 300 photos during our one hour visit but ended up with 41 keepers (and only a few of those are fit for public consumption).
